Celebration of the King James Bible

On Saturday 19th November 2011, church leaders from Rutland and Melton enjoyed an inspiring lecture on the social, cultural and political impact of the King James Bible.

The lecture was part of the celebrations in Rutland of the 400th anniversary of the King James, and the speaker was James Catford, Chief Executive of the Bible Society. James travels the world with his work, but also spends much time in the local area.

“It was a real privilege to meet leaders who are working so hard to meet the needs of the local community, and to encourage them by bringing such an excellent speaker to speak to them.”
