Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the Webber Street project, part of the London City Mission.
I met the staff at the 50th anniversary celebrations and it was a privilege to have them visit the House of Lords for a tour and tea on the terrace. I was so struck by their care and compassion for those who use Webber Street, and the fact that they call them ‘guests’ says it all.
